【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareusefulforlocatingandestimatingthesizeofpressurizedgasleaks,eitherasqualitycontroltestsorasfieldinspectionprocedures.Also,theyarevaluableaspretestsbeforeothermoretimeconsumingandmoresensitiveleaktestsareemployed.Thesetestmethodsaresemi-quantitativetechniquesusedtolocateleaksbutcannotbeusedtoquantifyexceptforapproximation.Thesetestmethodsmaybeusedinanaccept-rejecttestmode.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresfordetectingthesourcesofgasleakingattherateof4.5X10sup-9;mol/s(1X10sup/4;standardcmsup3;/s)orgreater.Thetestsmaybeconductedonanyobjectthatcanbepressurizedwithatracergasthatisdetectablebyathermalconductivitydetector.Thetestsensitivitywillvarywidelydependingonthetracergasused.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
