【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverseyeprotectors,designedforusebyplayersofracketsports,women''slacrosse,fieldhockey,basketball,andbaseballthatminimizeorsignificantlyreduceinjurytotheeyeandadnexaduetoimpactandpenetrationbyracket-sportracketsandballs,women''slacrosseandfieldhockeysticksandballs,baseballs,andhands,elbows,andfingers.Protectiveeyewearoffersprotectiononlytotheeyesanddoesnotprotectotherpartsofthehead.1.2Protectorsaredividedintofourtypesdependingontheirdesigncharacteristics.1.3Thisspecificationappliestoeyeprotectorsforusebywearersofcorrectivelensesandalsobythoseplayerswhodonotrequireprescriptioneyewear.Note18212;WarningPolycarbonatespectaclelensesshouldbeusedifspectaclesarewornunderprotectiveeyewear.1.4Inthisstandard,theuseofthewords"shall"or"must"indicatesamandatoryrequirement.Theword"should"indicatesarecommendation.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.MetricunitsofmeasurementinthisspecificationareinaccordancewiththeInternationalSystemofUnits(SI).Ifavalueformeasurementasgiveninthisspecificationisfollowedbyanequivalentvalueinotherunits,thefirststatedistoberegardedastherequirement.Agivenequivalentvaluemaybeapproximate.1.6Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportions,Sections9-11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
